U2 - Catch Them Live
U2 is an Irish Band who has already won 22 Grammy Awards, which is the highest number any band has ever achieved.
The band had humble beginnings in 1976 by the then-teenagers Bono (Paul Hewson), The Edge (Dave Evans), Adam Clayton, Larry Mullen Jr., Dave’s brother Dick, Ivan McCormick, and Peter Martin. The last three “dropped out” of the band at different timepoints for different reasons, but the band continued on. The band started with members of limited musical proficiency but grew into superstar with the release of their album, The Joshua Tree.
By 2005, the band was already inducted into the prestigious Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and is also listed as number 22 of Rolling Stone’s 100 greatest artists of all time. After several albums, the band sought to develop their own “tradition” and looked into American Blues, Country, and even Gospel music; these music genres soon showed in their subsequent albums. In a few years U2 changed to a conventional rock genre and released “All That You Can’t Leave Behind” which contained singles that became worldwide hits and won Grammy Awards.
