“War Horse” is a tremendous show, based on the 1982 novel by Michael Morpurgo. “War Horse” is set at the outbreak of World War 1, about an English boy, Albert, whose beloved horse, Joey, is sold to the military and shipped to France. Years later Albert, a young man, embarks on an odyssey to bring Joey home. The spectacular War Horse is joined by galloping, charging horses on the stage—their flanks, hides and sinews built of steel, leather and aircraft cables.
